Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
RCIA is similar to the approach that early Christians used in welcoming new members into the community. Those interested in learning about the Catholic tradition make the faith journey in the company of adult parishioners who serve as sponsors and team members. Informational as well as instructional, RCIA is an adult learning process which takes place in weekly group meetings.
An Inquirer may be any adult unbaptized, baptized in another tradition, or baptized Catholic who has not received the other sacraments. The weekly gatherings are spent in faith sharing, studying, praying, questioning and socializing.
RCIA offers an opportunity to return to our origins as a missionary and worshiping community of believers ready to embrace the newcomer by exemplifying Christ's message. Meetings ar held in the Rectory Annex. Timesare announced in the Bulletin.
