Installation of Father Murphy

On Corpus Christi Sunday, June 26, Rev. Paul G. Murphy was officially installed as Pastor by Bishop Lori at the 11:30 am Mass, followed by a reception in the Parish Hall. In addition to Bishop Lori and Father Post, the Choir, and a large group of parishioners, there were in attendance Father Murphy's family, 11 brother priests, area religious Sisters, the Knights of Columbus, the Parish Council, and the parish administrative and religious education staff.

Said Father Murphy afterward, "the Bishop, my family and friends have all commented on the warm and gracious welcome they enjoyed from the parishioners. The liturgy, enhanced by our magnificent music ministry, was majestic as we honored the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the staff members and volunteers who put so much care into organizing the mass and arranging for the reception. It was affirming to see so many of the Saint Thomas More parishioners in attendance. Together I look forward to continuing to build upon the good works begun by my predecessors, Msgr. Howley and Fr. Furey."
