WHO are the Material Girls? Girls who love to sew, or who would love to learn how to sew. WHAT do we do? We learn to sew, make quilts, tie bows and knots, and many wonderful things. We learn how to use a pattern to make a pair of PJ’s, or an apron, a pillowcase, or a tote bag. So many wonderful creations. We listen to our music and have lots of snacks. We say a prayer that everyone is blessed, healthy and safe. We also learn patience, responsibility, and compassion for those who are in need of our quilts. WHY do the Material Girls sew and make quilts? Some things we make are for children who are in need of comfort. Maybe they are recovering from surgery and need a little shawl to keep them warm.
