Phone: 655-3077 x14 Loretto is a native of County Galway, Ireland. Her Bachelor of Arts was attained at the National University of Ireland in Galway in 1992. She majored in English, sociology, and political science. Loretto came to St. Thomas More in 1993 as an assistant teacher in the Happiness Preschool. Loretto pursued her Connecticut Teaching Certificate through Sacred Heart University. Loretto then moved to St. Aloysius School teaching language arts and religion in the middle school. After staying at home to raise her son, Sean, Loretto returned to St. Thomas More Happiness Preschool in 2001. In September, 2002, she became the Director of the Preschool. A member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and the Darien Directors' Group, Loretto is dedicated to the advancement of Early Childhood Education. Loretto recently developed a new preschool curriculum which works in conjunction with requirements and skills needed for Kindergarten entry. Loretto is dedicated to the children in the St. Thomas More Happiness Preschool. |
