Have you been promising yourself (and God) that you will begin to explore Sacred Scripture? Now may be the perfect time. No need to sign up--just come with a Bible. The classes are led by Maryann Knag, a trained Scripture scholar. But the real teacher is the Word of God and the Holy Spirit. Come meet, read and pray with other parishioners who are seeking the Lord. The Monday evening class is studying the Book of Psalms. To assist high school men in discovering what God is asking of them, we are offering evening discussion groups at St. John Fisher Seminary. Each “Discernment Discussion” meeting will begin with Evening Prayer and dinner. Following dinner there will be a brief, informal discussion of a topic from Father Brett Brannen’s book To Save a Thousand Souls. The book is an excellent guide to figuring out if God is calling you to the diocesan priesthood. After the discussion, there will be time for more conversation and recreation.
