Meetings. The Pastoral Council meets in the Rectory Annex at 8 pm on the third Wednesday of each month, unless special circumstances call for a different date to be set. Meetings are usually not held in the summer months. Meetings usually adjourn between 9 and 9:30pm.
Role of the Council. The Pastoral Council is a representative group of the entire parish, organized in such a way that all the voices of the parish can be heard and somehow responded to. It also serves as a means for the pastor and the parish staff to test their own ideas and proposals with a group that reflects the whole parish community. While the Pastoral Council holds a consultative and advisory role, it is not a legislative body.
Meetings. If you would like to participate as a member of the Pastoral Council, or if you know of someone who would be qualified and perhaps interested and willing to do so, please contact Fr. Furey or Gary Wetterauw. Membership on the Pastoral Council is handled through appointment rather than through parish-wide elections.
