Altar Servers, Eucharistic Ministers, and Readers

Altar Servers. Children in the fourth grade or above may be altar servers. Parents of interested children should contact Father Murphy.

Eucharistic Ministers. Parishioners are commissioned to serve as Eucharistic Ministers. They assist the priest in the distribution of Communion at Mass as well as take Communion to the homebound. Readers. Parishioners are commissioned to serve as readers at Mass. Contact Father Murphy if you wish to become a Reader.     Reader Procedures

Presenters of the Gifts

The gifts of bread and wine are carried to the altar at the Offertory of the Mass by parishioners. The gift presenters are selected by the head usher before the start of Mass. If you wish to present the gifts, contact an usher before Mass.

Ushers

Ushers welcome and seat parishioners when they arrive at Mass, select parishioners for carrying the gifts to the altar at the Offertory, take collections, guide the Communion line, distribute the Bulletin at the end of Mass, and clean the pews for the next Mass. Contact the head usher if you wish to serve as an usher.
