Christmas Angel Tree

Will YOU please help another this Christmas season? Consider becoming an Angel.

Every Advent since 1990, kind and generous souls of Saint Thomas More have chosen the name of an individual in need from our Angel Tree in the Church foyer. The name, gender, and age of the person includes a wish list of items the individual needs and wants. Angels shop from the list provided, adding items to personalize and surprise the recipient at their discretion.

We all realize this year may be more of a challenge and we know one person cannot help everyone, but each of us can help someone. Whatever resources we have can be shared. We hope you will find it in your heart to help with this important project. It can be a heartwarming family activity which underscores the true meaning of the season.

Here is what you can do to help:

• Pick one or more individuals on the displayed sheets and register your name and contact information.
• Receive an angel and place your family name on the angel. Place the angel on the tree. Thank you for your kindness and generosity!
• As you shop for each child, try to pruchase at least 4 clothing items and 4 toys.
• As you shop for each adult, try to purchase at least 6 items.
• Please do not include used clothingf for this project. Gift cards to discount department stores (for example Wal*Mart), pharmacies and food chains are welcome.
• Please take care to put all of the items in a sturdy container with the individual's name and family code affrxed to the container. Please attach the angel sponsor sheet.
• Gifts may be wrapped or unwrapped but please deliver them to the Parish Hall by the due date. They will be picked up for delivery shortly thereafter.
• There will be a sign-in sheetin the Parish Hall and directions as to where to place your gifts.
